The
current energy climate is creating a huge amount
of interest in the untapped potential of renewable
wind energy in eastern North America.
Transelec/Common has extensive experience in the
construction of wind farms, including collector and
transmission lines.
Some recent projects in which we have collaborated:
- 1998-99: Le Nordais Wind Farm, Cap-Chat,
Québec.
Installation of 25 kV underground cables including
all collector lines and terminations.
- 2003-04: Mont Copper Wind Farm, Murdochville,
Québec.
Construction of a wind farm with 35 kV and 69 kV
transmission lines and construction of a 161/69 – 35
V (50 MVA) transformer substation.
We are currently beginning construction of an electricity
substation at Baie-des-Sables Wind Farm for Cartier Énergie Éolienne.
Transelec/Common manages projects in a flexible
manner: We can deliver projects on a turnkey basis,
as a pre-agreed package, or at an hourly rate.
