TCI has been responsible for many successful projects in the field of underground ductwork installation. Whatever the type of ducts or networks, we can excavate in all kinds of soil.

 

We also install and manufacture manholes and underground chambers for use in the laying of electrical and telecommunication networks. TCI engineers and technicians have considerable experience in working with existing telecommunication and live electrical cables, including high voltage.   TCI has installed a very large amount of aerial and underground cables. TCI employees perform their maintenance work while protecting the viability of energized cable systems.

Directional drilling is also a specialty of TCI. We have extensive expertise, combined with the most advanced equipment, in drilling under rivers and buildings. Our drilling specialists operate with a degree of precision of less than 25 mm and can pull cables or PEHD conduits over distances in excess of 200 m.

 

Precision directional drilling consists of pulling metal tubing in the ground to form a low diameter tunnel allowing the insertion of a line between an entry point and a pre-determined exit point. The drilling path is controlled from data supplied by a transmitter located in the drill head.

 

Precision directional drilling allows for:

  • minimal impact on work surroundings
  • cable installation in restricted areas
  • no disruption of landscape
  • faster and more cost effective installation than trenching
  • passing underground lines under highways, railways, lakes and rivers, developed lands, airports and much more

TCI manages projects in a flexible manner: TCI can deliver projects on a turnkey basis, as a pre-agreed package, or based on an hourly rate. TCI masters all aspects of large infrastructure construction. TCI can handle all civil engineering work and building mechanics for the construction of power plants and sub-stations including all electrical installation.
